Greg Pankhurst
President
Greg Pankhurst now resides in Brisbane after almost 30 years of owning / operating and consulting to feedlots throughout South East Asia.
After finishing University in Armidale NSW he did a short stint at Rangers Valley Feedlot near Glen Innes. Then in 1992 took a position in Indonesia working for the Australian / Indonesian JV - Tipperary Indonesia. From 1998 to 2016 he co owned and operated two feedlots in Indonesia with 36 000 head of one time cattle capacity . Greg’s joint venture partners in the JJAA Feedlots Indonesia were Consolidated Pastoral Company Pty Ltd ( CPC Australia ) and Indonesian Dicky Adiwoso .
Greg continues to be a consultant for a number of South East Asian operations as well as running a few cattle on his little farm at Mount Mee.
Simon Jackson
Vice President
For the past 20+ years, Simon has owned and operated a number of animal related businesses from Pet care, Boarding facilities, Pet transport Companies and Stockair. Stockair is Australia’s largest facilitator of the export of livestock by air.
Simon is currently the President of the International Pet and Animal Transportation Association, Chair of LiveAir and Vice President of QLEA.
As a committed leader to the safe relocation of animals, Simon imparts a strong knowledge of ASEL, up to date matters involved in the live export of animals by air industry both nationally and internationally and the requirements of IATA’S Live Animal Regulations, to the benefit of QLEA.
Peter Watkins
Treasurer and LIFE MEMBER
Peter has been involved in the livestock industry throughout Australia for over 40 years and specifically in the Live Export Industry for over 30 years. Much of this time was spent in the Northern Territory and Kimberley of WA, and more recently Queensland, as well as on occasions some southern states.
Having been involved in all parts of the supply chain including managing properties for major Indonesian and Malaysian importers as well as arranging custom feeding in Indonesia for Australian cattlemen, Peter aims to provide a balanced view for all participants and segments of the supply chain to produce the absolute best outcome for the Industry as a whole.
Tony Gooden

Tony Gooden has over 38 years’ experience in the agricultural sector, 15 of which have been involved in international sales and market development. His current position is Sales, Marketing & Procurement Director of Frontier International Agri (Frontier).
Throughout Tony’s agribusiness career he has focused on leading sales units, working strategically with large cattle producers to optimise value for their sale cattle both domestically and internationally. Tony has been directly involved in establishing business relationships with numerous new customers in Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand & China.
In recent years Tony has had a major influence on the development of feeder and slaughter cattle markets in Vietnam. QLD cattle producers have benefited from the the steady growth in this market, culminating in the record numbers being exported through the ports of Townsville & Port Alma.
Ryan Olive
Executive
Ryan is a third generation Brahman breeder and has recently grown his family business to incorporate a registered premise to service Live Export through Port Alma.
Ryan brings a wealth of knowledge to the executive team as a Livestock Producer and Export Yard Operator, understanding the needs of Central Queensland producers and shares knowledge around Port Alma and the requirements of ESCAS.
Kari Moffat
Executive
Kari Moffat is the Sustainability Manager at AAM Investment Group and based in Darwin. With over nine years of prior experience in the live export sector, her work has primarily focused on animal welfare, compliance, and sustainability.
Kari has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Agriculture) from Marcus Oldham College. She is heavily involved in the beef industry, participating in the Cattle Australia Regional Consultative Committee, the Australian Beef Sustainability Framework (ABSF) Steering Group, and former Chair of the Young Livestock Exporters Network (YLEN).
David Reed
Executive
David brings a diverse background of livestock exports to the QLEA Executive in his capacity as General Manager with AUSTREX, overseeing wagyu feeder and dairy businesses as well as air freight exporting cattle, sheep, milking goats and alpacas to multiple markets.
He previously worked with Fairfax Media and Elders International, where he developed a strong background in agribusiness and international trade. David grew up on a mixed farming enterprise in Mid North South Australia and has qualifications in marketing through a Bachelor of Management from the University of SA.
Patrick Underwood

With a career spanning more than 30 years across the northern agricultural industry, Patrick brings a wealth of knowledge on livestock exports across Northern Australia. From family cattle stations to industry executive roles including becoming the inaugural CEO of the Northern Territory Livestock Exporters Association and then general manager of Meat & Livestock Australia’s global livestock export program for cattle and sheep.
Since 2013 he has worked on the commercial side of the industry, becoming general manager of exporter North Australian Cattle Company and since 2020 establishing his own international trading business, Australian Cattle Enterprises (ACE), based in Darwin.
Scott Mawn

Scott is an experienced Pastoral Area Manager with a demonstrated history of working across multiple disciplines within the rural industry.
Currently Scott is the State Livestock Manager for North QLD/NT with Elders who offers extensive experience in all aspects of livestock marketing, export, production and procurement.
Reade Radel
Executive
Reade is a respected cattleman who, along with his family, runs the successful Kandoona Red Brahman Stud. The family sells 300 bulls a year including 20 at Rockhampton Brahman Week Sale.
Reade and his family also run a commercial backgrounding operation across 2 properties in the Injune district of Southern Queensland.
Reade is currently President of Australian Brahman Breeders Association
